As a 2006 alumni from El Cajon Valley High School. I played football, basketball, and ran track. I was in AVID as well as ASB. I loved, cared, and appreciated representing El Cajon Valley High School every chance I could. I recently went to a couple different events and questioned, why don't all the students show up? Are these events free for students?



Every student with an ASB card (Associate Student Body) can go to majority of the school events for FREE. The ASB card cost $20 and gives every student access to all the events. Also, discounts everything a student needs throughout the school year:

Yearboooks, Dances (Homecoming, Winterformal, Spring), Sporting events (Football, Basketball, Track, Wrestling, Baseball, Golf, softball, field hockey, swimming), School gear (P.E., Letterman jackets, school spirit).

I couldn't imagine missing any of those events when I was in high school. It made a difference in my life and it breaks my heart to know that one $20 ASB Card can make a lifelong difference in everyone of those students life. That is access to a community. I hate to know there are kids that went all four years of high school without an ASB Card limiting access at school.

$25,500 is nothing compared to the experience a $20 ASB card can give those students at El Cajon Valley High School. I look back and wish I could do it all 1 more time and hate to know there are students that won't even experience half of high school because of a $20 ASB card.
