My name is Kayce and my son Nathan will be a senior at Emerald High School this coming year.He has been in band since he was in sixth grade and has been in marching band since he was in seventh grade. He worked his way up from equipment crew to section leader to drum major. He has worked really hard to learn many instruments, but his main instrument is the euphonium or baritone. I got him the baritone when he was in 6th grade and struggled to pay it off.It was good then but now it needs so many repairs and he can't play his best.He's a really good kid and he made first chair this year for regionals in South Carolina and went to state competition with his marching band and had a solo in the performance. He has always been very shy, but being in band has helped him come out of his shell and find friends and a community. Things have not always been easy for Nathan because I didn't always make good life choices and my children suffered. When Nathan graduates, he wants to go to Anderson College and he wants to major in music education and become a high school band director. Nathan has always been a kid of few words, but when his words have failed, music has always been his voice. He needs a new instrument and help with transportation for the coming up season and summer band camp. My car barely makes it in town, so reliable transportation and a way to get him there is hard to find right now. I'm trying to raise the money to get him a new instrument and to fund his transportation to make sure that he gets this opportunity because Nathan has not always had the opportunities that he deserves. If anyone can help, even just a little, I will be grateful and so would he. He doesn't know that I'm doing this nor would he condone it; he doesn't like to ask for help, but he deserves this and I'm his mother and I'm going to do everything I can to make this happen for him and I pray that you can too. No matter how big or how small, it will be appreciated.

Nathan also needs help with transportation to and from camp and this coming up season.
