Ecuador at the International Astronomy Olympiad India 2025

Dear friends, former students, enthusiasts of science and astronomy,

The Ecuadorian Delegation is ready to participate at the 18th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics 2025 in India, but we need your help to cover our travel expenses. Your donation can make a difference to support the dreams of 5 high school students that have devoted two years studying diligently for this international competition.

Since 2017 the Ecuadorian Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics has supported the next generation of scientists and engineers of our country, with successful participations at national and international stages. Our students learn about several areas of physics, mathematics, astronomy and astrophysics at the highest level. The International Astronomy Olympiad is a great opportunity for the future of our students. However, we lack the necessary funds to cover travel costs. The distress our students experience after excelling in the National Olympiad, only to struggle with funding for the international competition, is truly disheartening.

We need your support to ensure that the Ecuador Team can participate in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics 2025. Donations will help cover travel expenses to Mumbai for five students and two team leaders. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference to help our team in our journey to represent Ecuador at the most prestigious astronomy competition of the world.
