Milo’s Medical Fund

Milo was picked up on the side of the road Monday in Mobile & transported to Med Vet. He is an un-chipped, intact male. Milo is heartworm positive & in congestive heart failure, but I asked the doctors to please try to help him. He made it through the night & had 3 liters of fluid drained from his abdomen. He got his nails clipped and was resting well with some added oxygen and fluids.

Med Vet expects to keep Milo in their ICU through tomorrow and perhaps release him on Wednesday. His initial plan of care for Night One was estimated at $2000-$3000. I paid the 2k to keep him there and get him immediate help, but I anticipate he’ll need further medical intervention even after he is discharged from the ICU.

Several people asked to help and made calls to Med Vet to donate, but Med Vet can’t take more than 2 or 3 donations per day, as it takes them away from helping new cases.
