A survivor of the Rwandan genocide, passionate to lift up talented and gifted African women in disadvantaged communities out of poverty so that they can sustain their livelihoods, their communities and their nations.
My passion is to alleviate poverty, eliminate starvation and lack of education among women and children living in slums and other economically challenged communities of Africa.
Having worked closely with these women and their teenagers children, as a mentor and supporter, I learned first hand about their talents in producing a variety of quality products that have the potential to be marketed globally.
In order to motivate them, I decided to start a business company called "Kumbatia Mama Collection", an e-commerce platform and online marketplace where they can display, market and sell their products on a global level.
This will not only empower them economically but it will also restore their dignity while contributing to the advancement of the UN Sustainable Goals 1-2-3-4-5-8-9-10-16-17.
Your contribution will support hundreds of women and girls from different parts of Africa including refugees, single mothers, widows, survivors of human-trafficking and other types of violence against women.
Please help us reach 100 000 Swiss Francs fundraising goal which will go towards building Kumbatia Mama Company, develop the technology for the e-commerce platform and online market place, develop skills building, mentoring and training program for the women.
