<div><strong>Where &amp; when? </strong>

<div>The Eco Summer Camp takes place annually in the <a href="https://www.lassalle-haus.org/en/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lassalle-Haus</a> in Switzerland in August. This year, the third edition of the Eco Summer Camp took place between the 20 and 27 August 2023.

<div><strong>Why is the Eco Summer Camp so important?</strong>
</div>
<div>The Eco Summer Camp enables people worldwide to gather, exchange knowledge, and learn from each other about current socio-ecological challenges and solutions. The camp aims to strengthen an international network of people who contribute to an actual cultural change in environmental issues. To be part of this community gives people hope and motivation to change things. As one of last year's participants states, sharing environmental concerns with others leaves a positive feeling and makes you want to keep fighting. Together, we look at ways how to engage responsibly, as one of last year's participants states:

<div><strong>Why do we need funds?</strong>
</div>
<div>To enable participation for everyone interested and people with less financial resources, we keep the participation fees as low as possible. Therefore, we depend on funds to cover the costs for accommodation (full board), staff, excursions, workshops, communication, and the speakers who enrich this camp with their knowledge and experience.

<div>Most of the funds come from foundations, but we need your support to fund the Eco Summer Camp also in the future. Even small contributions are precious to us.

</div>
<div><em>Das Eco Summer Camp ermöglicht es Menschen aus aller Welt, Wissen auszutauschen und voneinander über aktuelle sozio-ökologische Herausforderungen und Lösungen zu lernen. Ziel des Camps ist die Stärkung eines internationalen Netzwerks von Menschen, die zu einem tatsächlichen kulturellen Wandel in Umweltfragen beitragen. Die Zugehörigkeit zu dieser Gemeinschaft gibt den Menschen Hoffnung und Motivation, etwas zu verändern. Wie eine Teilnehmerin des letzten Jahres sagte, hinterlässt der Austausch mit anderen über Umweltfragen ein positives Gefühl und macht Lust, weiter zu kämpfen. Gemeinsam suchen wir nach Wegen, wie wir uns verantwortungsbewusst engagieren können, wie eine weitere Teilnehmerin des letzten Jahres meinte:</em>

<div><em>Um allen Interessierten und Menschen mit geringen finanziellen Mitteln die Teilnahme zu ermöglichen, halten wir die Teilnahmegebühren so niedrig wie möglich. </em>

<div><em>Daher sind wir auf Spenden angewiesen, um die Kosten für Unterkunft (Vollpension), Personal, Ausflüge, Workshops, Kommunikation und die Referent:innen, die das Camp mit ihrem Wissen und ihrer Erfahrung bereichern, zu decken. </em>
