Eclipse LARP is an interactive, theatrical storytelling experience that blends traditional “boffer” combat and puzzle solving with Renaissance Faire-style immersive roleplay and engagement. Eclipse is the creation of a seasoned team of lifelong LARPers with a breadth of creative, artistic, mechanical, and statistical skills who share a passion and love for the creativity and community of live-action storytelling.

Our goal is to create a Live Action Role-Playing experience that rewards and celebrates players for what they bring to the game: combat and tactics for those who come for the fight, political intrigue and profound tales for those who come for the roleplay, or an in-depth system of crafting and selling for those who wish to be part of the merchant life.

Our rule system is simple enough for anyone regardless of background experience with LARP to jump right in, but it has depth enough to really sink your teeth into if you so choose. Any single interaction should be able to be quickly explained and understood by someone new to an event, with the complexity coming from how multiple interactions can be orchestrated to create powerful and interesting effects.

With less need for marshaling and more time for substance, our goal is to let the players guide their time at the game while adding depth and immersion for them. The rules should have a true balance so that they keep themselves in check without needing to be revised continually. The economy, similarly, should balance itself out without the need for more than an outside nudge every so often.

We will never discriminate against someone based on gender, race, orientation, religion, or any other factor. We will never use or allow the themes of sexual assault or other subjects along that line in the game.

Our hope is that people can come and spend time in our world and truly feel like they have left the troubles of their own behind for a short while. To be a part of shaping events in a fantasy world. To make a difference in this community. We find that the more fun, whimsy, and creativity that players bring to the game, the more they will receive in return.

Building and properly executing a LARP is a large financial undertaking. Funds raised will be used for monthly camp rental fees, insurance, website maintenance, prop creation and storage, NPC costuming and makeup, item and character card printing, and sanitation-related items to maximize safety. Our goal is $10,000, which should be enough to successfully launch the first few events. Your contribution will help create a more immersive, engaging, and creative experience. As a thank you for your support, we are happy to offer both in- and out-of-game rewards.
