Echoes of the Sea Flood Repairs

Scott and Patty Carroll purchased Echoes of the Sea in August 2020 following Scott’s successful battle with bladder and prostate cancer as a way to move closer to kids, grandkids, and aging parents. They worked tirelessly for the past 5 months and spent tens of thousands of dollars to transform the run down property into a quaint vintage motel/RV park/campground. On January 12, 2021, after weeks of heavy rains, the Copalis River hit flood stage, flooding the RV park, campground, and putting 8-10” of water into the newly remodeled and refurnished rooms. The couple did not purchase flood insurance for the business due to the high premium, $50,000 deductible, and no coverage for furnishings, etc. It also would not cover lost revenue which will be significant in this case since the motel was nearly sold out through April 2021. This fund will help cover repair expenses and offset revenue lost while the rooms are uninhabitable.  Anything you can do to help support them will be very much appreciated.
