Hi, my name is Keith, we have owned 24 dogs, with 21 being GSD'S. WE GOT ECHO 5 years ago as a puppy . After about a year he had skin problems and after months he was finally diagnosed with sabatious adinitis at the R.V.C . I have to bathe him at least once a week with special shampoo and sprays. He recently started to show signs of lameness. Took him to R.V.C again . He has arthritis in his hips. Because of his skin problem he might not be able to have surgery. They have suggested long term water treadmill hydro therapy. Because of cost, approx £80 per session, it seemed a better option to buy machine and make it available to others with similar problems to use as well. Echo is a really lovely dog and we love him. If you could help him and possibly others if needed, I would be so grateful. Echo is insured, the x-rays were a £1000. New hip joint about £6,000, he has £7000 insurance. The watermill hydrotherapy would with fuel be about £200 a week and possibly for 6month. He needs stronger muscles to allow a good out come for surgery to take place, we've also got to get his skin condition really under control. There must be other dogs and owners who would benifit from using the treadmill. I would like to thank the people who have so far donated. Thank you Keith and Echo
Just an update, thank you for the people that have donated, you don't know how much I appreciate it. I'm selling some of my stuff to hopefully raise a bit. Will let you know how that goes. Thanks from Keith and Echo
Update, thank you all my family for being so generous to us 2 old dogs. I feel really embarrassed by it , but we both appreciate it , Echo& Omar
