Fortunately, Marcus was home and one of the first at the apartment where the fire started, trying to put out the flames. It became too large and the fire department took over. The apartments have been deemed unlivable and most of their belongings have been ruined by the smoke. As if that wasn’t enough, their cats were stuck inside of the apartment inhaling smoke and found unconscious under the bed, once allowed back into the apartment for a short time. The wonderful firefighters were able to recusiate them and they were rushed to the vet, suffering liver damage but expected to live with treatment. We are hoping to raise money to help them start fresh in a new apartment and purchase a new bed, couch and other necessities as well as help cover vet costs to help keep their babies alive. Anything helps and Marcus and Echo do so much for others and this is our time to do something for them. Thank you!
