ECG heart scan needed for 17 year old cat Ronnie

Hi, my name is Charlotte, and I’m reaching out for help to get an ECG heart scan for my best friend, Ronnie.

Just a little backstory, we adopted Ron when he was just 7 weeks old, I was only 8 years old at the time. We’ve grown up together, and for the past 16 years, he’s been my constant, my comfort, my everything.

Ron turns 17 next month. He’s still his chatty, sociable, affectionate self, full of love and life, but he now needs a little extra attention on his heart.

At his recent vet check up, including full bloods, everything looked really good. The vet even said she was impressed with how well he’s doing for his age.

However, she detected a heart gallop, which can be a sign of heart disease, and he now urgently needs an ECG scan to understand what’s going on.

The scan costs £555, and while I’m doing everything I can, I would be so grateful for any help.

At his age, early diagnosis is vital, it could give him more time and better quality of life, which is all we really want.
