No "Ho Ho" for Jo

Joanna is a bubbly, bright and a fun loving 28 year old woman, who is an exceptional mother to her beautiful 5 year old daughter Darcy.  Jo is a loved and cherished friend, mother, daughter, aunty, sister and cousin to many and everything she does is done for others from the love and selflessness of her own heart. Including her involvement with her local SES crash unit.
In 2018, Jo selflessly shaved her beautiful long hair in supporting and raising money for 'The World's Greatest Shave', and in doing so, Jo raised a phenomenal amount of over $2400! But now after all she has done for others, she now needs OUR generous help and support!

Christmas is the time of year that we all look forward to sharing with friends and family. Jo also had plans of spending time with her family and friends, including a long awaited trip to her home town of Maffra with Darcy and her family.
A routine health check completely changed her holiday plans. Jo was delivered some concerning results.
Upon further investigations, Jo was told some of the worst news one would want to hear at Christmas time.
Jo has Breast Cancer.
This diagnosis was delivered to Jo on the 11th of December, and a double mastectomy is booked to happen for the 27th of December (16 days later) such was the urgency to treat this major health issue.
No "Ho Ho" for Jo this Christmas!

Jo is now faced with some massive life changing decisions and has taken the bull by the horns, and decided that she is going to remain positive and determined to beat this illness, and become a strong advocate for early detection. Those of Us that know Jo, know that Jo has the inner spirt and drive to give this her best shot.
But what Jo hasn't got is finances.
With the sudden influx of expenses for medical appointments, travel costs, overnight accommodation and holistic treatments,  these pose an unexpected burden on any persons finances.
Jo has limited sick leave owing at her present place of employment, and the prospects of returning to work in the short to medium term are at the very least , uncertain.
Our objective through GoFundMe is to assist Jo financially to the best extent possible, and give her the upmost opportunity to concentrate her mind and focus on battling this hideous disease.
Jo has made some life changing decisions over a very short period and done so with determination and grit to beat this issue.  Jo will continue this journey with optimism, Love, gratitude, as-well-as  advocacy for other woman to test and detect early - no matter their family history.

Your generous donation, big or small will greatly assist us with this urgent campaign!
