Maddox's Miracle
Donation protected
We are raising money for a wonderful family and their little boy, Maddox. He was a fighter from day one. He was born on April 6, 2019 at 29 weeks and was immediately placed in an incubator. Not only was he pre-mature, he was born with a cleft pallet, cleft lip and an intestinal problem. He has had cranial reconstruction surgery twice. He had a feeding tube from day one and still has one today. As if this wasn't enough for one family and precious little boy to face, he was diagnosed November 30, 2020 with Hepatoblastoma. The tumor is the size of a softball. It is rare. Only approximately 150 people are diagnosed with this cancer per year. He is facing 12 weeks of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, then 12 more weeks of chemotherapy. This week (Dec. 3rd) he will have a porta-cath placed and a liver biopsy.
David, Maddox's dad, is my co-worker. He is the nicest and friendliest man you could meet. He is always asking how I am doing and about my family. He would help anyone at anytime that needed him. His wife, Macy, is also a very nice and loving person. She works hard at being a mom not only to Maddox but to their daughter Gracie also. David and Macy both have full time jobs, but Maddox's medical needs have been very trying on their employment and life in general.
We want to do all that we can to help them, not only through prayers but with monetary donations. They live in Harnett County. Maddox has his medical team at UNC Hospital. The trip is over an hour. Gas, food, etc. adds up. Please join me in helping this very deserving family in their time of need. If you can't donate monetarily at this time, they could also use all the prayers you are able to send.
