Rebuild Ukrainian Publishing House After Attack
Donation protected
Dear friends, I kindly ask you to support an extraordinary person — my friend, Volodymyr Fedorovych Shovkoshytnyi.
On the night of June 17, a Russian missile strike on Kyiv completely destroyed the office and warehouse of the "Ukrainian Priority" Publishing House. Tens of thousands of books were lost in the flames.
“Over 130 titles were destroyed in the fire, including works dedicated to Ukrainian history — from the Scythian era to modern times,” shared the founder of the publishing house, writer, and former Member of Ukraine's first Parliament, Volodymyr Shovkoshytnyi.
Volodymyr Fedorovych is a truly remarkable individual — a Ukrainian poet, prose writer, publicist, political and public figure, PhD in Political Science, Member of the First Ukrainian Parliament, Chernobyl disaster liquidator, former President of the International Chernobyl Union (1990–2003), and one of the founders of the Ukrainian Ecological Association "Zelenyi" (The Greens).
But above all, he is a genuine patriot of Ukraine and everything Ukrainian. Even after enduring the heartbreaking loss of his son on the front lines, Volodymyr Fedorovych never gave up. His life’s work — the publishing house dedicated to promoting Ukrainian literature, history, and culture — has now been destroyed.
Let’s stand together and help him rebuild. Your support will help restore the publishing house and keep alive the cultural legacy that Russia is trying to erase.
