Jim's Medical Funds

Jim Dunbar better known as my father. Recently in the past two year my father has been having some health issues. He has been out of work for 5 years and doing side jobs here and there to make ends meet and take care of his family. He started to have a lot of pains in his hamstring and right near is butt bone area and also blood in his urine. He applied for Medicaid and got turned down because he doesn’t fall under that NC State category to receive Medicaid which is Under the age of 18, Pregnant, Blind or Disabled. We looked into Obama care for health insurance and the cheapest was almost $600.00 monthly, well with out a job that isn’t something that he can afford. He went to the urgent care, the did a urine sample and sent my dad home with Antibiotics for a UTI and to help pass a kidney stone. well after the Antibiotics we're done nothing had changed from the pain he had or the blood in his urine. He then applied for a payment plan at a doctors office which they also did a urine sample and some blood work, he then got told he had a UTI and was provided the same Antibiotics. Well after months of trying to get help I became scared that these people we're not trying to help my dad so I went down and took him to the Hospital I explained to the doctor I needed answer, A CAT scan or a ultrasound needed to be done. They gave my father a CAT scan to find that he has a large mass on his bladder and that he needed to see a urologist ASAP. The doctor contacted the Urologist to make sure they would work with my father since he knew my father didn’t have insurance or money. The Urologist said they would. My father went in for his appointment and they did a Scope they found that the large mass on his bladder is cancer and that he also has cancer in his prostate and possible bone cancer. Unfortunately that’s where the help ends. In order for my dad to get the surgery done he either has to have funds or insurance and we are lacking both of those. I am not the one to ask for help or place personal business out like this  and my Father probably would be very upset if he found out I asked for help but I need my dad around for many more years he still has a lot to witness. I need him to be healthy so he can be there to see me get married and give me away, He needs to be around when I have children since he keeps asking me to give him some grandkids. I am a firm believer in prayer will heal the sick. I am asking for as many prayers as I can get for my dad. I am also asking for any donations to help pay for the surgery and test he will need going forward. Anything is greatly appreciated. For anyone that knows my dad they know he is great man and would give his last to anyone. Now he needs the help and im asking for that from anyone willing to help. I am unsure what the cost of the surgeries will cost or future check up so I’m just trying to raise whatever I’m able to raise to help towards the cost.
