I'm calling on my village to help invest in the future of two young people that Jeff and I have come to love as if they were our own children.  Many of you may already know Uzo and Uche Ebo -- kind, sweet, intelligent and loving 18-year old twins who graduated from PGHS last spring.  Over the past few years, my family has bonded with the "kids" and have on a few intervals, had them living with us.  Both Uche and Uzo have had some rough challenges in the past, and are presently faced with some issues that are making it difficult for them to follow their path towards success.  Both are currently taking classes at Monterey Peninsula College and are working to support themselves.  The bottom line is that they need a car -- nothing fancy, just something safe.  Money is tight for Jeff and I right now.  Raising a family of 5 kids, plus the other youngun's we help out can create a bit of a pinch, but we can definitely contribute $500 for a car.  We've been looking for months, and haven't been able to find anything that doesn't require costly repairs or is several years behind on registration.  We'd like to give these two a "jump-start" to success by helping them gain their independence, and continue to get to their jobs and their college classes.  So, we're calling out to our village with the idea that if a bunch of people can kick in even just $5, those smaller donations will add up to a nice amount for a used car.  

I hate to go all "Whitney"  but truly, "I believe the children are our future".  Uzo and Uche are two amazing people that will make a positive impact on the future.  Thank you for considering being a part of their success story!
