Ebony is a beautiful, funny, wise and incredibly strong woman. She is 17 years old and is fighting for her life.
Ebony was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer (glioblastoma) during February of 2014 at just 12 years old.
Within the first year Ebony had 2 brain surgeries in the attempt to remove the tumour however with the fear of Ebony becoming paralysed the surgeons came to the decision that the whole tumour could not be safely removed. Ebony then underwent chemo and radiation therapy with no success.
For years Ebony had regular checkups and scans that showed little to no growth of the tumour, however the most recent scan in January showed significant growth in the tumour, as well as the development of additional tumours all over the brain.
Since receiving the devastating news of Ebony’s tumour growth she has deteriorated rapidly through seizures, memory loss and mobility. Recently she was in hospital for 2 weeks due to this. Ebony is now back from hospital but requires 24/7 care and supervision.
We are raising money to support the family during this difficult time as they use their full attention on their family to care for Ebony and the younger children. Money will go towards alleviating the big stress of the costs during this time like bills, food and some fun activities for the family to do together.
Join us in supporting this incredible family who are fighting for Ebony’s life. Any amount means a lot and will go a long way.
