Ebiquity's D.I.C. walks 1000KM for ShikshaDaan
Taking steps to reduce the distance between underprivileged students and many successful professional paths, the Ebiquity Digital Innovation Centre will walk 1000 km (or more!) in a day for the ShikshaDaan foundation. Translated literally, ShikshaDaan means ‘The gift of education’, illustrating the organisation’s goal to help students from underprivileged sections of society to continue their academic and professional journeys. The charity provides students with scholarships to pursue their 11th and 12th standard education level, a degree program, or an ITI program. The focus of the organization is to fund education that will lead to employment, and in turn improve the economic status of BPL and poor families across India.
At Ebiquity, we are dedicated driving global change for the better. We believe that worldwide education is a cornerstone of advancement and a step towards reducing global economic and social inequality. Within the Digital Innovation centre, 15% of our colleagues are based in India, and they helped to shed a light on the ShikshaDaan foundation. Through this event, we aim to help ShikshaDaan spread the gift of education and ‘walk the talk’ of driving real change.
On the 27th of September, our employees will collectively walk 1000 km (or more) in the Netherlands, the UK, the US, India, Romania, Estonia, Spain, Austria, and Latvia. 100% of the funds raised will go to ShikshaDaan and improve the livelihood of students around India.
