Help Freya Heal

Hi, our names are Elizabeth and James, and Freya is our 17 month old daughter. On Wednesday April 17th we touched down in LA, and my husband and I knew something was really wrong with our girl. She was running an uncontrollable fever, and was extremely lethargic. We went to the local ER in hopes she would need fluids and maybe some anti-nausea medication. We were Admitted early Thursday morning and discharged by Friday afternoon. 12 hours roughly after discharge, Freya was not herself, her symptoms had worsened and we rushed her back to the ER. She was transferred back to VCMC in Ventura County California to their PICU. After running her many labs her doctor diagnosed her with three respiratory viruses and H-Flu Meningitis. She’s stable and improving nicely but she is not out of the woods yet. My Husband and I are currently still in California and will remain here until Freya is 110% cleared for travel. With us having to stay here we still have to pay our bills back home and save for the possibility of mounting medical bills due to us having to go to an out of state hospital. We are asking for help even though it’s incredibly difficult for us to do so.
