We are grateful for the number of lives that our school has touched, and desire to preserve the excellent legacy started by our dearly departed founder, the late Pastor Gerson C. Marshall. He believed that children could best develop their potential through daily exposure to the Holy Bible in their varied academic activities. Through chapel services, and annual events like the Christmas Pageant and Gospel Fest, we continue to cultivate intelligent, creative, and well-rounded students that are bright beacons of Christ's light in today's society.
This is our first fundraising campaign of this caliber because we have struggled with low enrollment numbers for the past few years. While the smaller class sizes foster individualized attention, the mounting financial obligations have not changed. We are still expected to support our staff and pay monthly expenses. We now serve 92 exceptional students from Nursery through Grade 8, and could not do so without our dedicated teachers- some of whom commute daily from Connecticut, the Bronx, and Queens- a true labor of love.
Instead of focusing on the students that we have lost, we want to invest in the students and dedicated teachers who make Ebenezer the school of their choice. We are inspired by their hard work, commitment, and prayerful support.
Fundraising campaigns like this one also allow us to engage with our extensive and talented alumni network. We want to establish a stronger relationship with our alumni and continue to connect past and present students. There are currently several Ebenezer Prep alumni who send their children to our school, truly a testament to the family-focused environment that the late Pastor Marshall envisioned 37 years ago.
Your donations will be used for:
1) Building and classroom renovations;
2) Updating technology throughout the building and creating an interactive website;
3) Purchasing new classroom and lunchroom furniture.
We would truly appreciate any amount that you can contribute to this fundraiser. Please provide your contact information so that we can send a personal note thanking you for your generous contribution.
Parents, alumni, family and friends, thank you for your gracious consideration. Kindly continue making Ebenezer the school of your choice!
