Hi, I'm Kerrie, and I am asking for help with my sweet kitty Tyler.

In January 2022, Tyler was diagnosed with a large tumor on the left side of his brain. His vet at the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, Dr. E, suspects the tumor is a meningioma, which is slow-growing but quite large in Tyler's case. Based on his clinical signs and overall good health, Tyler is an excellent candidate for surgery. Without it, it's expected he will live for another 6 months or less. The estimate for this surgery is between $4,500 and $6,900.

I have elected to pursue surgery for my boy, to give him every chance to live as long and happy a life as possible. Tyler and his brother Ben are a few months shy of their 10th birthday, and are deeply bonded to one another. I want to do everything within my power to keep Tyler healthy not just for me, but for Ben too.

Tyler's surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, February 15th, 2022 at the UC Davis VMTH Small Animal Clinic. After that, he will be hospitalized for an estimated 5-7 days for recovery and monitoring for any complications related to the surgery.

I have received assistance from the UC Davis VMTH Compassionate Care Fund, which will help but only covers a fraction of the cost of the surgery. Also the recovery time is not included in the estimate of $4,500 to $6,900, so it's likely the bill will be higher than that.

All funds raised will go directly to the cost of Tyler's surgery and hospitalization time while he recovers. Thank you so very much for any help you can give me and Tyler!
