Hi Everyone!
As some of you may or may not know, Renee was diagnosed in October of 2020 with Breast Cancer. She is currently undergoing intense chemo, and her last treatment will be on March 29th, 2021. Once the chemo is finished, Renee will undergo a double mastectomy and reconstruction, which has been recommended by her oncologist based on the type of cancer as well as genetic testing that was performed.
It has been a tough 2020 and 2021 for Renee from a health standpoint and in addition she was unexpectedly laid off from her job due to Covid, which has made things even harder leaving her without insurance. As you probably know, Cobra insurance coverage is expensive and not something she could afford to keep. Renee has been able to secure some alternate insurance through the State of Georgia for her treatments, but the mastectomy and reconstruction are not covered. These procedures are expensive and not something she can afford to pay for on top of her everyday expenses.
We have created a Go Fund Me Page on her behalf to try and help her out during these trying times. For those of you who know Renee, you know she isn't one to ask for help! This has been a long and difficult journey for her but there is a light at the end of the tunnel, she just needs our help to get there!
