UPDATE 3/15/2026: Melody continues her fight. She was recently moved from the Coral Springs rehab center, to Christiana Hospital last week. Most days she just sleeps and unable to eat, or carry a conversation. Please continue to donate what you can, stop by for a visit and send prayers. UPDATE 1/21/2026: We wanted to thank those of you who have already donated to help our girl Melody with her medical bills. Although she is home, Mel still has a long road to recovery.

The medical bills continue to come in. Please continue to share this link, donate $5 or what you can afford. Every bit helps. We want Melody to focus on her recovery, and not worry so much about the bills.

Melody appreciates the many visits, food drop offs, kindness and donations and continued prayers thus far.

Many of you may or may not be aware that our girl Mel has been going through a medical crisis for the past 5 years. Multiple trips to the hospital, multiple surgeries, along with many infections to recover from along the way. 5 years of fighting cancer has been brutal both mentally and physically.

In early November, Melody had surgery once again with expectations to remove the cancer from her liver. Mel consulted many specialists and prayed for guidance and direction to make the best decision with the best outcome.

Melody went into surgery with a plan and 3 surgeons by her side to remove the cancer.

13+ hours later she woke up with a not-so-good result. A major artery was cut and she nearly bled out on the table. By the grace of God, she pulled through yet another near-death experience. The outcome is the cancer is still there; it was too risky to remove the tumor attached to the cut artery.

9 weeks later she is finally stable to move to a rehab center to get stronger. The artery was the main priority to keep her alive.

We are reaching out to friends and family and are asking for donations to help with Mel’s medical bills. Melody has a very long road yet ahead. Please continue to pray for her surgeons to come up with plan “B”.

Mel has a big heart and is a giver to all who know her. It’s time for us to help her! The medical bills are coming in and her insurance is not able to cover them all. We are asking for any donation that you can afford to give. Melody’s bills are already nearing $10,000.00 and will continue to increase every day she stays in the hospital or rehab. Again, she still has upcoming surgeries yet to come to try to give her some quality of life. Mel was transferred this week to a rehab facility and is trying to regain her strength.
