Hi everyone,
We are raising funds for Jimmy Jordan, who has been through an unimaginable medical journey and needs our support now more than ever.
What started on September 29, 2025, has turned into a long, exhausting medical journey that is still ongoing today.
Jimmy is a Type 1 diabetic who was first admitted to Wynn Hospital, then transferred to Syracuse, and is now receiving care in NYC. What began as an infected toe quickly became a life-threatening situation. Despite treatment, the infection spread, and he was forced to undergo multiple surgeries — first losing his right big toe. Then ultimately, Jimmy lost half of his leg.
While enduring this, while in Syracuse, doctors also discovered that Jimmy had endocarditis (heart infection) and osteomyelitis (bone infection). When he arrived in NYC, it was found he was suffering from mini-strokes that were not found at the other hospitals. NYC is waiting for the infection to get a little better before doing open-heart surgery to replace and fix the valve damaged from the endocarditis.
Jimmy is also a devoted father to two young children, Jasper and Finley, who need their dad home and healthy. His grown daughter Dia and his 3 grandchildren need him as well. Jimmy has only been home for about a month's time combined since all of this started.
In the months ahead, Jimmy will need extensive rehabilitation and specialized medical equipment, including a wheelchair and a prosthetic limb. His New York State disability has unfortunately been denied so far, and he has lost his job and income, with little to no ability to return to work in the foreseeable future.
Right now, Jimmy’s main focus must be healing — but the financial burden of medical bills, housing costs, and everyday expenses is overwhelming. This GoFundMe is to help relieve that stress so he can concentrate on recovery instead of worrying about how to keep up with his bills while he remains hospitalized and in treatment.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
With gratitude,
Jimmy, Tyra, Dia, Jasper, & Finley
