Hi everyone,
This year, I’m proud (and a bit nervous!) to be taking on the 2025 Great North Run on the 7th September — not just for the challenge, but for a cause that means the world to me: raising money for Samaritans.
Mental health is something we all have, and yet for too many people, support comes too late, or not at all. Like many others, I’ve watched close friends struggle with their mental health. Some have fought through dark times. But tragically, I also lost a close friend to suicide. That loss made me realise just how vital it is to speak up, support each other, and fund the services that are there to listen when no one else can.
That’s why I’ve chosen to run for Samaritans — a charity that provides a 24/7 lifeline to people in crisis. Whether it’s someone at their lowest point or simply someone who needs to be heard, Samaritans is there. But they can only continue this lifesaving work with our help.
My goal is to raise £350 — every penny of which will go toward suicide prevention, emotional support, and helping reduce the stigma around mental health.
If you can spare anything — even the cost of a coffee — you’ll be helping someone feel less alone. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page. It all helps.
Thank you for your support, and wish me luck for those 13.1 miles!
With love,
Freya
