Dear friends and family,
In the past few months I have come to know an amazing person, Mona. She is from Egypt and has been living in New Jersey for the past 14 years to support her family financially. She is the oldest of 10 kids, and her mother passed
while delivering the tenth baby and she has been taking care of them since. She also has a son and a daughter, and she was the only person responsible for them, after their father passed away when they were 2 and 4 years old.
Her daughter is now 26 years old, lives in Egypt, and is sick with Lupus causing her to have terminal kidney failure. She has been on dialysis for 3 years, with many shunts and fistulas failing, and her last possible fistula in her arm failed. She underwent a temporary catheter in her neck (jugular vein catheter) that cannot last for more than 2 months as it can cause life-threatening blood infections if left for longer.
She is in dire need for kidney transplant or she will pass away. She is only 26!
She has relatives willing to donate a kidney but the operation will cost over $10,000. Mona has been living in the US for 14 years, earning $5 an hour, barely getting by, and sending her all the money to cover her daughter’s medical expenses. She cannot, unfortunately, afford such a huge operation and if she cannot secure the funds in advance, the operation cannot be performed.
I am trying to help her spread the word and try to collect some money. Any simple donation from you, anonymously, would help. Even $20 can help her get to her goal. You can save a life, earn 7assanet in this life and the next.
