Eavesdropping on the Elders Short Film Post Prod.
What started off as a passion project has turned into a timely message, given the current state of affairs in this country. Our short ”Eavesdropping on the Elders” is a step in the direction of bridging the gap between generations of black people. Drawing inspiration from Jim Clingman's book, Black-o-Knowledge, we explore the notion of listening in on our ”elders” ideas of how to help our people.
Filming concluded summer 2019 and we were able to hold a special premiere for Jim Clingman’s 75th birthday. Reception was amazing and we received constructive notes on how to make the project even greater, which brings us here.
Editing a 20 minute short film is no small feat. It takes an entire team to piece together the intricate puzzle that is our project. We’re seeking funds to pay an editor, colorist, composer, sound designer and foley artist for post production. These key people are the final steps in bringing this pivotal project to life.
