Eau Claire skateboarders are underserved in the city of Eau Claire, WI. We want to change that. Our current skatepark square footage measures just under two thousand square feet. According to population data, a city our size should have ten times that space dedicated to skateboarding. That is why we've been fundraising since 2013. We need more skateable space for our youth. Skateboarding is not a fringe activity anymore, it is mainstream and we believe it should be represented as such here in Eau Claire. The local skateboard community has been working hard and has raised over $50,000 in the last 5 years toward the Boyd Park Skatepark Project. The new skatepark will be located off of Main Street in Eau Claire inside of Boyd Park. The proposed project has a minimum budget of $75,000 and will be a minimum of 5,000 square feet. It will be made of concrete using poured in place construction. We are 2/3rds of the way to our goal. With your monetary support, we can make this project a reality. If everyone that plans to to use this park donates what they can afford, we could reach our goal and have our new skatepark build as soon as the Spring of 2019. If you support skateboarding in the Chippewa Valley, help us build a new skatepark!
