Eaton Fire Relief for Sora, Jacque, Marcus

In moments of crisis, our community's strength shines brightest. On January 8, 2025, my dear friends Sora, Jacque, and Marcus lost everything when the Eaton Fire swept through Altadena, CA. While they escaped with their lives, the flames consumed their home, cars and all of their possessions - from essential daily items to irreplaceable personal treasures.

Many crucial expenses fall outside of FEMA coverage.

Sora, Jacque, and Marcus have always been there for others in our community and now it's our turn to be there for them.

I have known Jacque for over 20 years. They have lived in Altadena since the birth of Sora for the last 7 years. Jacque is a lifetime Pasadenan and former Pasadena City Councilmember. Marcus, as a union carpenter, has already been hard at work serving the community despite having needs for his own family. That is the kind of family they are. In addition, Sora’s public school community as well as karate studio is located in Altadena.
