Dear friends & family, I am starting this fundraiser out of love and concern for our friends, Keith, Tammi and 3-year-old Graci Eaton- a sweet, young family that has been displaced due to the loss of their home in the ongoing Camp Fire in Paradise, CA.
My husband, Geoff, and I (Vivian) were introduced to Tammi and Keith by friends in Honolulu, Hawaii, in Dec 2013. At that time, we had just arrived Honolulu and were looking to rent while we settled into job-hunting and life on the island. Tammi and Keith were also looking to rent and so we mutually agreed to rent a house together. We had a ball getting to know Tammi and Keith as a couple (before Graci took over much later) and had even more fun living with them for a year.
When the going got tough for Geoff and me, Tammi and Keith helped us in so many ways. To this day, I don't think life in Hawaii would have been sane if not for them. They took care of internet bills (and never asked for payment), paid for house repairs, gave us rides to church every Sabbath when our cranky Mazda was unreliable, and included us on birthday plans and dinners when we couldn't afford much. In short, Geoff and I have been very blessed by their friendship and generosity and would not have had such awesome memories of Hawaii if not for them and our other Hawaiian ohana.
My hope is that we raise enough money for Tammi, Keith and young Graci to make a smooth recovery as they navigate the loss of their home, and contemplate the next steps forward with their family. I hope you can join Geoff and me in this effort to help them.
