eating disorders fundraiser
Me and one of my best friends Amelie have struggled with anorexia nervosa for coming up to 3 years now. Through many hospital and clinic visits, we have both learnt that treatment for eating disorders requires a lot more funding and awareness, to help support people that are struggling with this part of their mental health. We have decided to start this fundraiser with the goal that eating disorder treatment will be available to every single person and be more successful for those in crisis. It will also mean so much to us to help give back to all of those that have been supportive and never gave up on us.
Every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause, it means so much to all of us out there who will benefit so much from this. BEAT's purpose is to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders, by working with sufferers and their families and highlighting their insufferable experiences to campaign for change.
Thanks to all of the support and supervision, me and Amelie are both currently in a good position with our recovery, and want to encourage others to get to the same point we have managed to get to.
SO!!!!!!!!
To prove to our eating disorders we can and WILL, we are doing the famous 10,000 calorie challenge!! The day we do this we will also be challenging our limits with a half-marathon walk!
We will be accompanied by others who have supported us majorly throughout our struggles, who have volunteered to help us raise funds for this cause and support us along the way.
The 10,000 calorie challenge is something me and Amelie have only ever seen viral online, and we thought what a good way to throw our eating disorders down and test our limits.
Raising awareness about eating disorders and mental illnesses is so important. I am sure most of you know it has become quite relevant over social media recently, but yet many don't know how they can help others or what to say to them, simply because this isn't spoken about enough. Information on all of this can be found at https://www.beateatingdisorders.org.uk/
Thank you so much for reading, and if you did/are, thank you immensely for your donation, it will have such an impact on others.
