Help Pierce's Buy A New Produce Cooler!

Pierce's needs your help to purchase a new produce cooler!

We are grateful that we have been able to support our community as much as possible during this pandemic through curbside pickup. Despite the amazing support from many of our customers since March, closing our doors has taken a toll on our bottom line... Now, as we prepare to reopen, we hope to continue meeting the needs of the residents of Shrewsbury, Clarendon, Mount Holly,  Belmont and beyond!

The past several months at Pierce's Store have shown how vital it is for members of our community to have convenient, year-round access to fresh produce. We'd like to continue to supply these necessities for our wider community once we reopen our doors. However, by expanding our inventory to include a variety of fresh produce we have stretched our cooler capacity to the limit.

Our current setup inhibits our ability to reliably offer an assortment of fresh food while curbing waste, particularly because all those beautiful lettuces, avocados, potatoes, berries, herbs, green veggies etc. need a more suitable environment than we can currently provide. We've improvised to some success over the past few months, but these have been quick fixes and not sustainable long-term. In fact, it was the beer cooler that became the ad-hoc solution to all the new produce! (Not to worry, your Buds and Long Trail Ales will be ice cold and frosty by July 1st)

In order to meet the demand for an expanded selection of fresh fruits and vegetables year-round, Pierce's needs a new dedicated produce cooler!  The demand nationwide for storage coolers and freezers has rivaled that of toilet paper, leaving the market empty of high-quality second-hand options. We have found the perfect solution through the local purveyor, Steiger's Restaurant Supply, who will be delivering a brand-new glass-door unit just a few days prior to our GRAND RE-OPENING DAY of July 1! 

We are asking for your help in covering the cost of this new unit to ensure we are best equipped to serve you moving forward. We know Pierce's has many chapters in its future, and we believe this could be the start of a lively and dynamic era, elevating our store into a more thoroughly stocked market.

The more our community shops for their needs through Pierce's, the more we can keep local dollars LOCAL!
