East Wind Bakery is the product of many years of hard work and thoughtful creation by us, Patrick "Doug" Quick and Tony Tam, two home bakers with a passion for food and a desire to create. We taught ourselves how to make the food we loved. Out of that we started a small business, selling at farmer's markets and catering small events. As our new enterprise became more successful, and we started to develop a following of loyal customers, we decided that it was time to open up a shop of our own and take the business to the next level. We did so by selling our property to raise the funds to buy and build our own bakery.  We worked hard building and managing the construction of our bakery, for over two years.


On November 7th, 2014, we opened our doors, thinking we were ready, but we had no idea. :)


Over the last year, we've developed a loyal following and made lots of friends. Just look at our Yelp and Facebook reviews and comments. You'll get an idea of what our customers think of us and our food.


This being our first restaurant, we obviously ran into a lot of challenges, one of which was the cost of building our bakery and purchasing all of the equipment. Even with our best efforts at keeping costs to a minimum and shopping for the best deals, we ended up accumulating debt to realize our dream. It turned out to be a more expensive proposition than we expected.


That's where you come in. The bakery is doing well, and slowly growing, but we're buried in debt and struggling with cash flow that keeps us from spending our money on growing the business. If we could get past this challenge, we could better promote our business, buy more equipment to make us more efficient, and expand our product offering.
