Easton is now 16 months, about to be 17 months on April 8th. As many, if not all, know that testicles are supposed to drop around 6 months old. He was supposed to have some kind of urology surgery to lower his left testicle and check for any hernias while in there, but they canceled his surgery due to out-of-state Medicaid and said we would have to self-pay. His surgery is $40,000 and some change, so basically $41,000. Medical care down here is not good for his conditions, and they don't know how to care for him here. Hence, why the pediatrician sent us to Nashville to begin with, when he was dying in her clinic and nobody could get ahold of endocrinology down in New Orleans. But yet, they sent me a message on MyChart from the endocrinology department about some stupid cookout fundraiser event. I'm at a loss at this point. Who has money to pay for procedures, much less that much?? So, I'm reaching out for help. I don't know what else to do. Not having this surgery can lead to testicular cancer. We appreciate everyone and all the prayers and help we can get!
