On may 1st I rushed Easton to the ER because a headache and vomitting woke him up in the middle of the night. Two hours later, after a CT scan, they let me know that there was a large mass in his brain and they would be taking us by ambulance to Children's Hospital. After many tests and seeing even more doctors, they confirmed Easton had a brain tumor on his cerebellum the size of a small orange. He was admitted to the hospital and stayed there until surgery could be performed to remove the mass. On May 8th surgery was performed. Unfortunatly, the tumor had already started growing into the brain stem so the neurosurgeon had to leave a small part of it in there or risk permanent damage. Fast forward two weeks and now his dad and I are at a point in his journey where we have to try to decide what treatment option is best for him. An overwhelming decision for any parent im sure. However, we have the added stress of having no household income right now. My husband was laid off the week of Christmas and is still trying to find work. We were doing very well with savings but now medical expenses, gas to and from the hospital constantly, food and more has cut into that drastically. And his treatments have not even started yet! Not to mention we still have 6yr old and 3yr old little girls at home as well!
I understand that not everyone may be able to help financially, but prayers are also welcomed and greatly appreciated! We can use all the help we can get right now!
