Easter Morning Fire Took Everything – Help Darla and Jeff
Donation protected
On Easter morning, tragedy struck Darla and Jeff’s family in the most devastating way. A house fire destroyed the home lovingly left to them by Jeff’s late father. It was a fully paid-off home that gave them stability, comfort, and a place to raise their children.
In just minutes, everything was gone.
The home did not have insurance. This was not by choice, but because of overwhelming medical bills and financial hardship. For years, the family has been doing everything they can to survive:
• Darla is living with Multiple Sclerosis and requires ongoing treatment
• Jeff is battling kidney failure and is currently on the organ donor list
They are raising three children: two daughters and a son who is about to graduate high school this year. This fire has not only taken their shelter, it has stolen a sense of safety and stability from a family who has worked so hard to hold everything together.
Despite years of hardship, Darla and Jeff have never complained. They have worked hard, cherished what they had, and stayed strong for their children. Their home was their anchor. A place filled with love, strength, and perseverance. Now it is gone.
We are asking for your help so they can begin to rebuild. Donations will help them:
• Secure safe temporary housing
• Replace clothing, medical supplies, and other essentials
• Restore a sense of normalcy and support their son’s graduation
Any amount you can give makes a difference. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing their story with others.
Let’s come together and show Darla, Jeff, their son, and their daughter that they are not alone. Your support means more than you know.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

How the $50,000 Will Be Used
We are raising $50,000 to help Darla, Jeff, and their children recover from the devastating house fire that destroyed their home on Easter morning. This expanded goal reflects their longer-term needs as they work to rebuild their lives and care for their health.
• $15,000 – Temporary Housing and Utilities
Covers several months of rent, deposits, and essential utilities while they search for permanent housing.
• $10,000 – Basic Household Needs and Personal Belongings
Helps replace furniture, clothing, bedding, small appliances, and other daily essentials that were lost in the fire.
• $7,000 – Medical Needs and Transportation
Supports medication and medical equipment for Darla’s MS and Jeff’s kidney condition, along with reliable transportation to appointments and treatments.
• $2,000 – Graduation and School Support
Ensures their son can still participate in his high school graduation and helps replace school supplies and personal items for the children.
• $8,000 – Emergency and Recovery Expenses
Helps cover costs like replacing identification documents, application fees for assistance programs, and urgent unexpected expenses during recovery.
• $8,000 – Rebuilding and Long-Term Support
Funds cleanup, minor repairs, or the beginning stages of rebuilding what was lost, depending on what is possible based on the damage.
If we are fortunate enough to exceed this goal, any extra funds will go toward additional recovery and long-term support for Darla, Jeff, and their family. Your help is giving them hope, comfort, and a path forward.
Thank you for being part of their journey to rebuild.
