Eastbay Warriors Youth Football

East Bay Warriors Organization (http://www.eastbaywarriors.org) is a non-profit local chapter of Pop Warner Youth Football located in West Oakland, one of the most poverty stricken communities on the west coast. The organization has been in existence for over 20 years and serves as an important community pillar for at-risk youth.  With over 100 football and cheer participants and 75 community volunteers, East Bay Warriors keep kids focused on academic and athletic goals by teaching the values of hard work, teamwork, and discipline.  With such focus and family support, the East Bay Warriors have become an elite national powerhouse and consistently place in the top 5 nationally at the Pop Warner Youth Superbowl every year in Florida in both football and cheer.

Football and cheer give our youth a positive alternative to the harshness of drugs and gangs prevalent in Oakland.  The kids make life-long friends, work together to win, and realize that academics must be a priority for their lives to thrive.  Additionally, the kids realize that they can accomplish what they set their minds to, and they leave the program much more confident in themselves and in their life pursuits.

Our Mighty Mite Football team (ages 8-9) will be going to Florida for the first time this year to compete at the Pop Warner Youth Super Bowl in Florida.  This is a great opportunity for our kids to test themselves against the nation's best, and to broaden our minds to life outside of Oakland and see the value of our hard work and dedication.  Unfortunately, many families struggle to raise the money necessary for the trip and it's a challenge to get everyone on the plane.  We are respectfully asking for donations to supplement our own funds to allow our kids to go and compete.  100% of the raised money will be used for airfare and lodging in Florida for the kids.  With your help, we know we can make it happen and help our children of Oakland.  It takes a village to help our kids realize their dreams!

Please consider being part our village by donating and helping us realize our goals!
