The East Troublesome Fire has wreaked havoc on the Grand County community. There are so many people displaced and such heartache and devastation has occurred. In an effort to bring some light to all the darkness I would like to ask my friends and broader community to share this message.
The C Lazy U Ranch in Granby Colorado has stood as a guest ranch for 101 years. In that time it has touched countless people. The kind of touch that stays for a lifetime. It has been an unforgettable getaway for countless families, a treasured memory for those who once put their heart & soul into working there & a home and passion for the current staff. It has greatly impacted the lives of all who have stepped foot there, including my daughter (an employee of the ranch).
On Wednesday, October 21st, C Lazy U Ranch was evacuated due to the East Troublesome Fire. The horses have been relocated to a ranch on the front range and the staff have been moved to safe housing in the community. The outreach from the community (and beyond) has brought tears to our family’s eyes. It has inspired us to answer the call of action & do anything we can to help this wonderful community.
My family has launched this fundraiser to support the needs of C Lazy U staff and their families who have been evacuated, displaced, or have lost their homes during the East Troublesome Fire. 100% of donations will be distributed to these individuals. Please donate and also share this fundraiser in order to support the C Lazy U Team at this time. There is nothing that can make up for what has been lost, but as individuals who love the C Lazy U, we would like to show the staff, who are the real treasure of C Lazy U Ranch, support in any way we can.
