The Kona lows storms hit Maui and took a major toll on our community and our tropical fruit farm. East Maui Chocolate farm sustained major damage to structures, storage areas, fruit trees, hardwood trees, driveways, shop, and loss of revenue for 4 weeks. The devastation also affected the animals on the farm, including my pig Channel, her piglet, and 14 cats, whose housing and eating areas were wiped out. I am now working to build a new area for them to reside and recover.

Funds will be used for cleanup, repairs, replanting, rebuilding storage areas, rebuilding fruit stand, trimming dangerous trees in driveways and gathering areas, repairing driveways, and building new areas for the animals to reside. East Maui Chocolate farm lost approximately 75 trees that were blown down by wind. Four storage structures, retail sales table area, and nursery tables were destroyed. Rain and wind caused damage to the production building. The animals' housing and eating areas were wiped out, and new shelters are needed. Every contribution will help us recover and rebuild, ensuring the farm and its animals can continue to thrive and support our community.
