Hi to everyone reading my page.

Just a little introduction to why I have decided to do this but here goes… in January 2025 I followed my passion for palliative care and followed my dream working for the most amazing East Lancs Hospice.

I have worked with palliative care since I can remember even before qualifying as a nurse… the most rewarding job I could ever get the most satisfaction to help people and their families with life limiting conditions and helping making the most of life till the end of life.

Since joining the fabulous team at East Lancs Hospice I have become so passionate in Advance Care Planning as one will plan for when the time comes when they take their last breath and leave families behind.

I would like to help by raising money to enable the hospice to provide a memory bear.

A memory bear can record a loved one’s heartbeat and a message to be listened to again and again which would provide a young child or any family member comfort following their loved one’s passing.

A memory bear with a recorded message would cost £60… so…

I ain’t no walker (hence I got a bulldog) but 11th October I will be walking the Yorkshire 3 peaks with the best bunch of girls by my side. They will help me, train and support me through this challenge all for the best cause… to be able to give a memory bear to those who this would help support through a loved ones passing.

I have seen with my own eyes how a memory bear can help support a family in such sad circumstances… so please if anyone could help me… just a lickle donation would help massively.
