East Coast Overdose Awareness Walk

Jessie and Mike are walking from Fort Kent, Maine to Key West, Florida. The entire length of the east coast of the United States. They are doing this for drug overdose awareness. There were an average of 198 people that died everyday from a drug overdose in America alone in 2017. These numbers have been on the rise for over a decade. This walk aims to educate people of this issue and the solutions to it along the way.
People, businesses, and communities are encouraged to get involved and take action against this crisis as Jessie and Mike make their way down the east coast.
The money that we raise will be used to help with the expenses on this walk. These expenses include things like the occasional hotel, food, gear, and other things that will help keep the team healthy. The money that isn't spent will be donated to a nonprofit organization called Freedom to Grow. They are dedicated to helping people with troubled pasts learn to have happy and healthy futures.
