East Anglian Air Ambulance 24 mile walk
On 23rd of June 2015, my brother in law had an accident at work - a grinder bounced off the underside of the car he was working on and slit his throat open! Had it not been for the air ambulance, he would not be with us today! I won't go into the detail of the months that followed but will tell you he is so lucky to be with us!
I find it unimaginable that the air ambulance does not receive government funding and relies solely on charity funding to stay afloat. This is one of the most amazing organisations and has saved the lives of so many people who would not be here today but for their existence. I'm not asking for a lot, a few quid here and there from a lot of people goes a long way, any single one of us could rely on the air ambulance at some point in our lives, for either ourselves or our loved ones.
Myself, my sister and my brother in law are walking 24 miles to raise as much money as possible for the charity on the 8 year anniversary of his accident, 8 years to the day!
Thanks for your time(and hopefully a pound or two)
Steve
