Easing Wayne's Financial Burden During Cancer Fight

Donation protected
Dec 30, 2025 - Dad is still fighting. He’s tired, he’s weak, he’s hurting & sick. He’s losing a lot of weight. But he’s fighting. He’s still on chemotherapy, and we have scans next week to see how he is. I want to thank everyone who’s helped him, prayed for him, visited or called him. Words can’t express how thankful I am. He still unfortunately has not had any income, since mid-August. He will not receive his first disability check until the end of March. So if anyone feels as if they can help him, please donate. It’s so appreciated. If you can’t, that’s fine. Please pray for him. Please share.

‼️Update: we received the horrible news that he has metastatic Hepatocellular Carcinoma with an aggressive disease biology. This is Stage IV, and moving rapidly. Prognosis isn’t good. Surgery was cancelled and they will not be rescheduling. He will be undergoing radiation to try to shrink the tumor on his spine to help with the pain, and receiving comfort care. We appreciate continued support during this horrible time. ❤️

‼️Update: Dad is currently in the hospital in Concord where he’s been for a few days, and he’s looking at weeks in there. Neurosurgery is planned for this coming week on his spine/spinal canal to remove as much of the tumor on his T-9 (that’s compressing his spinal cord) as possible, and he will get rods and screws placed to support his spine, and radiation will follow.
He has no worked in weeks and doesn’t look like he will be returning at all. Bills have not stopped, and he doesn’t need that worry on top of this horrible cancer battle. So please, if you can help, he’s never asked for anything, but needs that help now.

Update: He is currently hospitalized at Atrium Health Cabarrus. The main focus at this moment is the mass on his T9-T10 (that is causing severe pain) expanded into the spinal canal, and causing compression. The plan as of now is likely to biopsy, and see is it is radiosensitive and then decide between radiation vs. surgical decompression. We will know more when we see the oncologist & neurosurgeon tomorrow.

Our beloved dad, Wayne, has recently been diagnosed with advanced cancer. The scans have shown multiple lesions in his spine, pelvis, and liver, indicating metastatic disease, which means the cancer has moved beyond its original site. As well as Multiple Myeloma. He will be following up with Oncology to determine treatment and to find the original site. This diagnosis has been overwhelming for our family.

He is currently facing a challenging road ahead with treatments that may include radiation, chemotherapy, and possibly surgery to manage the disease and its symptoms.

Unfortunately, this has taken a toll on his ability to work, and as the sole income provider for his household, this has put a significant financial strain on him and our mother, June, who is unable to work due to her own medical issues.

My dad isn’t one to ask for help, and he’s stubborn, but this is a time he needs the help. So, we are reaching out to our family, friends, and anyone who can help to support him through this difficult time. Your generous contributions will help cover medical bills, treatment costs, daily expenses, and help ease the financial burden so he can focus on his health and recovery.

Any amount you can give will be deeply appreciated. Please join us in supporting Wayne, our dad, with your prayers, love, and generosity.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
