Hello friends and family,

As many of you know, I was diagnosed with 3 hernias last February. What was at first fairly mild has now become more than a strain in daily life. While the situation isn't an immediate life-or-death emergency, the financial burden of high insurance deductibles, out-of-pocket costs, and lost wages is a major challenge. The current climate of healthcare compounded with my insurance views that this as elective surgery has delayed it far longer then my body can really handle. It’s time!

How funds will be spent: $7,429 for hospital and surgeon out-of-pocket costs, with the remainder for post-surgery needs, medication, and brief recovery.

The surgery is set for the end of July.
