Easing the Creative Process during a Pandemic

Donation protected
Hi everyone! I am a brand new art teacher and am hoping to receive donations in order to allow me to put together materials in a more timely manner as well as manage the classroom more effectively - which will in turn allow me to choose more of a variety of mediums for my students to use and explore in the classroom.

1. A cricut machine - I would like to use this to create stencils and die cut shapes for collaging with the younger grades. When they are younger, the focus is more on developing fine motor skills, as well as on the process of creating art over the outcome. In a COVID world, we can no longer share supplies - so then I have to either double the amount of materials that I purchase for my classroom OR I have to create even more pre-done items for the little ones by hand. It takes ALOT of time and effort.

Another dream of mine is to figure out how to link it to technology in my room so maybe I can do an enrichment activity with the older grades to allow them to create their own designs to use in an art project.

2. Flat trays - I would like to have enough money to purchase at least 26 long flat trays for my room. My plan is to place them on the tables to catch paint, glue, and other messy mediums. It will make it easier to clean the tables in between classes (I have to clean and sanitize everything in 10 minutes, and shorter if I need a restroom break too) - and it will give the little ones a way to easily carry their work to the drying rack without spilling paint on themselves or other objects on the way.

This also allows me to be more eco-friendly (which is hard as well during these times) as I can easily wash and sanitize the trays - over things like newspaper which is one use only and has to be thrown away in the trash can.

These trays will be useful as well because they can provide a hard surface, so that way we are able to go outside to draw from life.

NOTE - This is completely based on my own hopes and dreams for my classroom and how I would like to manage things. These objects would not have normally been provided by my district to begin with. These are purely things I want for myself to make things more efficient - which in turn will allow my students to have more opportunities during the COVID pandemic.

Please keep in mind that many teachers spend a lot of their own money to help their classroom be successful, and we spend countless hours outside of the school hours that we do not get paid for. It is out of our own time, again in order to help our students have better opportunities for success.

Thank you sooooo much for looking and if you can not donate money, I would appreciate if you could share with others. Thank you for supporting my hopes and dreams.
