On November 12, 2024, my best friend, Ana Ramirez — more like a sister to me — lost her father Jose Rosario Ramirez or as everyone knew him Yiyo, in an unexpected and heartbreaking way. Just two weeks ago, he was diagnosed with cancer. The family was told it was curable, and they were filled with hope. But in the most devastating turn, the disease progressed rapidly, and he passed away just days later, leaving his family and friends in shock and deep grief.

In an instant, this loving family went from having hope for the future to facing a world without the man who was the heart of their family. His wife, daughter, and son are completely devastated, and now, in addition to the immense pain of his loss, they are confronted with the heavy burden of funeral expenses — something they were not prepared for.

This is where we need your help.

We are raising funds to cover the funeral costs and help the family during this unimaginable time. They are facing financial challenges that they simply cannot handle alone right now, and we want to make sure they can grieve without the added stress of worrying about how they’ll cover the expenses.
