Easing the Burden: Support for Markus and Melanie

Most of you know, my grandma Melanie and my grandpa Markus. Some of the most selfless & hard working people I know. They are always willing to help anyone & everyone. Last week, we were saddened with the loss of my great grandma Mary (my grandpa Markus’ mom)

Grandma Mary is originally from Alabama where her husband is buried. Her wishes were to be buried next to him when her time came. Following her wishes, they’ve had that arranged. As many of you know that can be very expensive. On top of it, their one vehicle they use for both of them to go back and forth to work, is having mechanical problems. They then decided to rent a vehicle to drive down to Alabama for grandma Mary’s funeral.

This morning (today, Sept 9) they’re supposed to leave for Alabama, they received devastating news. They were informed their son lost his life in a tragic accident in kewanee. We are saddened with another loss, very unexpected & tragic. We don’t know all the circumstances surrounding his death at this time.. A parent should never have to bury their own child. With having to say goodbye to another family member within the same week as another and taking an entire week off work (as many as you know, most cannot financially do anymore). We are just trying to help lessen the burden of financial responsibilities at this time. We also plan to start a meal train for my grandparents. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
