Easing the Burden of Ruby's Vet Costs

I never wanted to have to do this, but I am in need of some help. This is Ruby. She went to the vet on the 21st of September and was diagnosed with pancreatitis. Instead of giving up on her (4.5 years old), my wife and I decided to do everything we could to try and save her. Sadly, after a week of medication, she was not able to eat. On Friday, the 27th of September, we made the most difficult choice we ever had to make. We let our dog go. While we know she is in heaven, we didn't know how much the vet bill for all of this was going to be. Suffice it to say, it is way more than either of us anticipated.

I do not like asking for help with money, but in this case, I feel I must. The total bill came to over $5000. I know that had we done nothing, neither my wife nor I could have lived with ourselves.

I am not asking for the whole amount, just enough to help blunt the overall effect of this bill and the interest that would be charged.

Any amount helps. My goal is to have some to give to her for her birthday in November to put all towards this bill. Even some of this covered will help out in ways I cannot describe.
