We are writing on behalf of our dear friend, Devyn Landin, a kind and beloved part of our New Mart community with a big heart, who is now facing the unimaginable loss of his daughter, Marilyn Agreda, at just 17 years old.

After more than a decade apart, Devyn and Marilyn were reunited this past year. For 10 precious months, they were able to spend time together—healing, laughing, and making new memories. Marilyn often told her dad how much she loved him and how excited she was to live with him again.

What no one could see was the silent battle she carried inside. Though she attended therapy and seemed to be improving, she was struggling with depression, anxiety, and pain she didn’t always show. Recently, her school shared that Marilyn had written a note about her struggles, and tragically, she made the decision to end her life.

This devastating and sudden loss has left Devyn heartbroken. He is leaning on his faith, trusting that Marilyn is now at peace with the Lord, free from the pain she endured here.

We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses and to ease the financial burden during this unimaginable time. Any contribution—big or small—will make a difference and allow Devyn to focus on grieving and honoring Marilyn’s life.
