Easing the Burden: Jeff Khounthavong's Funeral

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved friend and family member, Jeff Khounthavong, who left us far too soon last week.

Jeff was a generous spirit, a loyal friend, and a steady source of light to those who knew him. His sudden departure has left his loved ones navigating deep grief, while also facing the immediate and unexpected burden of funeral expenses and legal matters related to probate.

Jeff is survived by his loving sister Karen Khounthavong, his parents Linny and Inpong Khounthavong, and his cherished nephew Avery. Their loss is profound, and we hope to ease some of the financial stress they face as they grieve and honor Jeff’s life.

We are reaching out to our extended community — friends, neighbors, coworkers, and all who were touched by Jeff’s life — to ask for support in honoring him with the care and dignity he deserves.

All funds raised will go directly toward:

Funeral and memorial service costs, Legal fees related to probate and estate matters and any remaining expenses connected to Jeff’s passing.

As part of the funeral tradition, all donations will be placed in a ceremonial offering bowl known as the Thaan Boun. This traditional Lao practice will be a central part of Jeff’s service. The funds will be blessed during the ceremony, symbolizing the merit and love carried forward in Jeff’s name.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Jeff’s life on Sunday, June 29th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at:

A viewing will be available the day prior, on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, from 1:00–2:00 PM at Omega Funeral Home. A traditional Lao ceremony will take place during the viewing, from 1:00–1:30 PM.
